  Success Stories

These dogs are among those rehabilitated or rehomed
by our hard working volunteers.  Many thanks to all the people
who helped make their transition into forever homes possible.

ADOPTED!  Ebony  ADOPTED!

Ebony has been adopted!

Special thanks to foster Moms Nancy and Marti for their efforts to rehabilitate and rehome Ebony!  Ebby is now in a forever home with people that absolutely LOVE her!  :-)

ADOPTED!  Kayla  ADOPTED!

Kayla has been adopted!

Kayla has finally found her way to an adoptive home in Minnesota!  She was returned to the shelter due to her new owner's medical problems.  Tony and the shelter have worked hard and found her a new home, also in Minnesota.  Lets all hope that this is her forever home!  :-)

ADOPTED!  Luke  ADOPTED!

Luke has been adopted!

After spending months in foster homes in NY and VA, he has returned to near where he was born, in western NY state and now resides with a wonderful couple!

ADOPTED!  Nicky  ADOPTED!

Nicky has been adopted!

After spending the past few months in Ellie's care, she has decided to adopt him!  We're so happy that they have found each other, and hope that Ellie is able to pursue her dream of training Nicky to be her service dog.

ADOPTED!  Dagger  ADOPTED!

Dagger has been adopted!

We worked with Jim from GSD rescue who found him the perfect home!  Here is what Dagger's former owner had to say about the adoption:

"GSD Rescue just placed him. He went to a retired man who was raised with 6 shepherds and has had them his entire life. Six months ago, he lost his female shepherd, then his wife. Jim, the GSD rescue head, put Dagger out front to wait for the man. When the man was quite late, Jim went out to bring Dagger back inside, only to find the man sitting on the ground with Dagger's head in his lap. Dagger didn't make a sound when the man came up. No barking and falling into a stranger's lap has never happened with Dagger, so something special was afoot.

After observing Dagger for two weeks, Jim concluded that his aggression was indeed being overprotective towards me only. I am so greatly relieved because I knew he was a great dog, but our relationship was upside down due to my illness.

Thanks, Debbie for everything. It was so hard, but this one has a happy ending."

ADOPTED!  Sam  ADOPTED!

Sam has been adopted!

After spending months in a wonderful foster home, both of the brothers Sam and Dave have been adopted.  Sam was placed on March 20 and was driven to his new home in Toledo, Ohio. His new family already has a family dog who Sam is learning to get along with. Their 4-year old son makes Sam happy by cuddling up with him. Sam is exercised several times daily, and he is learning leash manners and commands very quickly! His new 'mom' thinks Sam is a bright and beautiful dog and feels very lucky to have him in her family's life.

ADOPTED!  Dave  ADOPTED!

Dave has been adopted!

After spending months in a wonderful foster home, both of the brothers Sam and Dave have been adopted.  Dave was placed on March 25 and was driven to his new home in Welcome, Minnesota. Dave is the only dog on this rural horse farm where he has many acres over which to reign. His new family has the time and the passion to work with Dave. They know how very special Dave is, and they are happy to have a new family member.

ADOPTED!  Artic & Yetti  ADOPTED!

Artic and Yetti have been adopted!

These guys came and went through the foster so quickly that we never even got photos of them.  :-)  These very special brothers were adopted by a family living in Canada and are enjoying their new life!

ADOPTED!  Zeus ADOPTED!

Zeus has been adopted!

Zeus was only listed in the rescue for a few days while being fostered by one of our volunteers who was able to get him right out into his new home.  Extra special thanks to Paw Paw Mike for fostering and transporting Zeus to his new home.  Zeus has been adopted by a wonderful couple in Ohio and he's doing great!

ADOPTED!  Rocky ADOPTED!

Rocky has been adopted!

Rocky was bounced around through quite a few homes, but he has now been adopted by a family in Connecticut where we hope he'll find the forever home that he deserves.  Many thanks to Amy and Dawn for the longtime fostering of this boy, and for not giving up on him.  :-)

ADOPTED!  Jessie ADOPTED!

Jessie has been adopted!

Jessie has been rehomed to a family in Ohio and is adjusting from being an outside dog living alone in a kennel, to being a well loved family member.  Many thanks to Jo for fostering and working with Jessie.  :-)

ADOPTED!  Emma ADOPTED!

Emma moved to her new home last week and she is doing fine!  Emma is getting along with the family's GSD and the family loves her!

ADOPTED!  Cujo ADOPTED!

Cujo has been adopted!

Despite his name Cujo is a sweetheart.  :-)  Last week he moved from his NYC home to his new home in New Jersey and he's doing fine!  He's getting along with one of the family's cats just great but the other cat is still afraid of him.  I'm sure they'll end up good friends though, who could resist that beautiful face when he turns on the charm?  :-)

ADOPTED!  Allie ADOPTED!

Allie has been adopted!

From Allie's mother:  "Everything could not have gone any better than it did.  They loved Allie from the second they saw her and it only took about 5 minutes for Allie and their other dogs to become great friends.  There is so much love in their home for their dogs that it was like God had picked them out for Allie. I loved all of them and I also felt right at home.  They even called to let me know how Allie was doing and in a few months I will be able to go and visit with them.  I don't know how I can ever thank you enough for this wonderful loving family that you found for Allie.  It is still breaking my heart that I had to give her up, but God sent us the perfect family to love her.  These are the thoughts that I am keeping in mind whenever I start to cry over Allie.  I know for sure that she is going to be very happy with her new family.  Thank you again from the bottom of my heart and may God bless you always for all you have done for us."

ADOPTED!  Ivy ADOPTED!

Ivy has been adopted!

Ivy is doing great!  She is now living in California with a family who already has another Shiloh.

ADOPTED!  Jake ADOPTED!

Jake has been adopted!

Jake went to his new home yesterday.  His original owner says, "Terry, Sharon and their dog Larry met us near Tampa (half way point where they found a dog park) and spent about 3 hours. At the end of this time, it was obvious that Jake loved them and they Jake - so they took him home with them...  He happily got into their car, and we could see him thru the tinted windows that he was smiling and happy, and did not even look toward us. The two dogs look so nice together... While we are sad to have him leave our home, we are sure he is with great people who will love him."

ADOPTED!  Akira ADOPTED!

Akira has been adopted!

Akira has been renamed Jakira.  She went to her new home in NJ last weekend and is doing amazingly well!  Her new Mom reports that she is getting along with her bigger Shiloh brother outrageously well, and best of all, she has had no accidents in the house since she's been in her new home.
