About Bronte:
Bronte is up to date on her vaccinations, has no known
health problems, is not on any medications. She is friendly and playful
with all people... children, visitors, workers that come into the house,
etc. She is good with other dogs at the dog park and has basic obedience
training, but she will chase small animals and cats. She is used to
living in a house with a fenced yard in a city environment. She doesn't
jump the fence or try to escape from the owner's yard. She is good in
the house with no housebreaking accidents and she doesn't need to be crated
when left alone. Her owner says that she prefers to play and walk off
leash, but she will walk nicely on leash also. Her owner can remove food
and toys from her mouth without Bronte objecting, and she is good at the vet's
office and at the groomer's too.
Her owner says:
She has been depressed since our baby was born. We
do not have time to give her all of the attention that a dog of her stature
needs and deserves, and we feel she would be happier in a home where she had
a lot more attention.
Bronte is a fantastic dog, who comes from an impeccable line of Shilohs.
She has very good manners, is quietly affectionate, and extremely beautiful.
We love her, but since our baby was born and our attention has focused on
him so much, we believe that she needs to be in a home where she is the only
“baby” in the house. Bronte loves to be with people. She is sensitive
and gentle, and she needs a home where she is loved and cherished, and where
she doesn’t have to compete for attention. She would do best in a home
where she was the only dog, even though she is friendly with other dogs at
the dog park.
She sleeps on a mat at the foot of our bed, and she quietly lies by our
side wherever we are in the house. She does not require a lot of exercise;
she only needs a walk every day, and she enjoys chasing balls from time to
time. She prefers to walk off leash (she stays close by and comes when you
call her), but she will walk on leash if necessary. Bronte would make a
great therapy dog. People of all ages will stop to admire her during our
walks, and she is friendly and sweet with everyone. She is very intuitive,
and she lives to please. She has a very gentle mouth and never grabs when
receiving a treat. She has been loved and treated gently her entire life.
You could not ask for a better dog than Bronte. We feel sad that we are
unable to give her the attention she deserves now, and we hope that we can
find a home for her where she will be THE cherished baby again. Bronte is
named after the writers Emily and Charlotte Bronte.
Update:
Bronte's owner is having second thoughts about rehoming her. She is
still willing to let her go, but only to the 'perfect' home. She would
like to make sure that Bronte will be an 'only dog' in a new home, so she
doesn't have to share attention with other dogs. Bronte will chase cats,
so the owner wants to make sure there are no cats or other small animals
either. She would like her to go to a home where someone is home all
day, such as a retiree, or someone who works from home. If she can't
find the perfect home for Bronte, the owner will keep her. If you feel
that you can give Bronte a 'perfect' home, please contact us...
